Positive Motivation for Successful Weight Loss

Positive Motivation for Successful Weight Loss

I'm sure you've heard a lot about the power of positive thinking for losing weight. If you have negative thoughts all the time, you will never be able to lose weight. Weight loss will become easy for you if you become a positive thinker. Here is an example.

Whether you believe it or not, you can't be thin if you believe you are fat. You may hate yourself for that same reason. If you believe yourself to be slim and trim, it will have a major impact on how much weight you will lose. Your goals will be affected by your attitude and mindset. I will tell you how to develop a positive attitude in this article.

Remembering that you can't lose weight overnight, just the same you can't change the way you think in a short time either. Be patient and slowly transform your negative thoughts into positive ones and change your life.

1. The reasons you wish to lose weight: Write on a piece of paper the reason for all your weight loss efforts. No matter how big or small write them down anyway. Why do you want to lose weight? Is it because you're tired of what you see in the mirror, is it because you want to look like a celebrity, or maybe you just want to feel healthy. Whatever the reason, just write it down!

To see the best results, by some Post-It-Notes and write everything on them. Put copies everywhere in your house to remind you of your weight loss goals every day. Be sure to put them in the kitchen and on the refrigerator where you are tempted to eat 'junk food' or 'cheat' on your diet program!

2. Realistic goals and motivation: Now you can set some goals for yourself, but be realistic. You need to know how much you want to weigh, subtract that from what you weigh now. Now you know how much weight you need to lose to achieve your weight goal.
In reality you can't lose more than two pounds in a week. Figure how much weight you want to lose and do the math to figure out how long it will take you lose the weight you want o lose. Be reasonable in your goals. You can't have six pack abs in a month.

You have set your weight loss goals now you need to get motivated to help attain your weight loss goals. What you use to motivate yourself is up to you. It will depend on the reason you want to lose weight. If you want six pack abs get some pictures of people with ripped abs and hang them all throughout your house. Next to them hang pictures of you at your current weight. That should be more than enough to keep you motivated!
